    We arrived at dusk – just in time for the sun to get fully tucked behind the mountains. The end of a dramatic sunset happened before us. The sky was a shade of pale blue and gray with few streaks of gold and pink. City lights near Manila Bay and Bataan can be seen coming to life across the ocean.     It started out gloomy – the clouds seemed dense and heavy. There were no warm sunshine hues that I have always looked forward, too. Fine drops of rain started to hit the window pane of the room where I stayed for some nights in that city.
