The first time that I set foot in Camp Benjamin was in 2010, when I was still in college and we had the Basic University Training in Lasallian Leadership. It was also some sort of team building and the venue was more than perfect for such an event. It was also the very first time I was introduced to ‘Glamping’ or glamorous camping. I was truly fascinated with how the tent was set up with mattresses, a small dining table for two or three persons and a small receiving area. We stayed in a pavilion type of convention area during our activities and we thought we had the whole place to ourselves only to find out that there were also some companies who were having their team building in the same venue. The place itself is big enough to be crowded by several groups conducting activities such as ours.
Come 2018.
I visited Camp Benjamin for several times in 2018 because I have always loved the peacefulness in the place and the recreational activities that they offer. Every corner is nothing but a relaxing sight of greens and fresh air. Bumping into their staff means an exchange of smiles and greetings. Everything about it is just simple and natural which would make you appreciate a basic staycation than a luxurious one.
Camp Benjamin as a hub for a peaceful sojourn offers a well and holistic pampering. More than its fresh air and verdants for starters, its facilities also add up to this cosseting. Get this, a pool with six jet massage; a restaurant that is into farm-to-plate dining, a farm that is into organic farming offering a tour with so much to learn from, room service massage included in the accommodation fee and basically a spacious place with woods and landscape where you can walk, jog and meditate.

Bored, you’ll never be! Camp Benjamin has facilities that will keep your adrenaline pumped and alive at the same time teach you stuff and get you relaxed. If you are to stay overnight, the pool is free of use. On a day tour, you may either avail their day tour packages to save some bucks or just avail the individual activity that you would only want to try. There are corresponding fees for each activity.

You may spend a day at Camp Benjamin for only P2,780.00 good for 4 persons inclusive of the use of swimming pool with Six Jet Water Massage and a set of lunch composed of Crispy squid (calamari), Crispy Kare-Kare, Bulalo, Sizzling Seafood scampi, rice, bibing crepe and iced tea. Camp Benjamin also offers an organized tours to the nearby points of interests such as Fantasy World in Lemery, Batangas, Taal Volcano, Taal Heritage Town tour and their very own Shalom Hotel. Apart from the tour itself, the package also includes a massage, natural farm tour (in their very own WIN Farm), three days and two nights stay in Shalom Hotel, use of swimming pool, one way zip line, breakfast at Mon’s Restaurant, Lunch at Rose Ville Lake House, Transfers from and to the hotel and Taal and entrance fees to Red Lava, Tourism Fee, Local guide and boat ride.

Getting To and Away
Camp Benjamin is located along Alfonso-Maragondon Road, Brgy. Taywanak Ilaya, Alfonso, Cavite. The nearest airport is Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.
Land Travel Options:
How to Get There
OPTION A: Along Pasay, take a bus bound for Alfonso. Travel time is around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the traffic. Get off Alfonso town proper (bayan). Take a tricycle to Camp Benjamin (P30.00).
OPTION B: From Pasay or Buendia, take a bus bound for Mendez, Nasugbu, Calatagan or Lian. Alight either at Mendez (if it is Mendez Bound) or Alfonso (if it is Batangas bound) crossing. From there, you may take jeepneys with the sign Alfonso then get off Alfonso town proper. From there, take a tricycle that will take you to Camp Benjamin.
Getting Away
If commuting, you may need to wait on tricycle that will take you to Alfonso town proper. From there, you may take buses near the town’s covered court bound for Manila.
