It offers a seemingly luxurious way to experience these yet surprisingly affordable.

Vacation Villas is located at Kilometer 55, Don Salvador Benedicto – the summer capital of Negros Occidental. It is just an hour away from Bacolod City. It is originally a family rest house owned by Mr. Lito Salvio from Bacolod City. It was fully furnished in February 2018 and was turned into an AirBnB. 

The two-storey villa with 200 square meter-floor area can accommodate up to five to fifteen persons. It is characterized by floor to ceiling glass walls and a combination of minimalist and rustic-themed interior. It has two rooms on the upper floor; one with glass walls and with a view of the sky and pine treetops that adds up to the relaxing vibe of the room itself. The other room has three beds with windows with a view of nothing but verdant and sunshine. Both rooms have hot and cold shower and balcony. One of its best features is the terraza located at the villa’s ground floor. The terraza has the same view as the glass-walled room but the hammock and the sitting area made it more special as you can be up close to the nature. Every corner of this villa promises and guarantees an instagram-worthy spot. A fridge and flat-screen television is also available for guest’s use.

Vacation Villas offers more than just an ordinary staycation. The management also has an organized tour that its guests can try and avail upon their stay. A river by the tunnel nearby can be visited for only 100php/head inclusive of tour guide and protective gears. The trek can take up to 20-25min on a regular pace.

Aside from their organized activity, the guests could also try a visiting Mayana’s peak, Mambukal resort, to other nearby resorts and Jomax Peak and swimming at Malatan-og falls. The falls can be reached after an hour of trek. A tour guide is required to accompany the tourists for only 300php to be shared by 5 persons.

You may bring your own food and cook at the villa as utensils and oven are also provided. Should you be up for a gastronomic adventure, you can drive down Salvio Cafe @KM 55 DSB for some all-meat and Korean-style grilled stuff as per request.

From Bacolod City, take a Ceres bus bound for Cebu. Tell the driver to drop you off Kilometer 55. Ceres buses bound for this destination have daily trips for twenty four hours and leave every two hours. Its management can also arrange transfers from the airport to villa and vice versa. If you prefer to visit the points of interest around the municipality, you may rent their van good for 14 persons worth 2,500php for a day inclusive of pick up from Bacolod City.

On weekdays (Monday to Thursday), the whole villa can be rented for only 3,800php overnight. On weekends (Friday to Sunday), on the other hand, rate starts at 5,000php. You may search and book on AirBnB or their official Facebook page.
