Dine Under the Stars by Mon’s Restaurant: A Romantic Spot to Dine!


“Farm to plate” kind of dining. This is what Mon’s Restaurant is all about. In collaboration with their in-house source, WIN (We Lead Integrated Natural) Farm, the said restaurant promises its customers a healthy and quality dining experience as their ingredients are straight out of their own organic farm cooked to perfection. Specializing on Filipino cuisine, this restaurant has truly become remarkable for its signature dishes are prepared with a contemporary touch and twist.

My Mon’s Restaurant Experience

I have dined on several occasions at Mon’s restaurant and never would I not return because the service and the food per se are outstanding making it worth the come back. I have tried a lot from their menu – their breakfast, desserts, drinks, snacks, main course and others. What makes it different from the other restaurants is that, theirs is purely organic and they have experimented on fusing the ingredients of a dish to the unlikely ones creating a unique satisfying taste say for instance the buko pancit, adobong manok sa tablea, crispy kare-karesinigang trio and others. Among the must try dishes are the following:

The Mangga Plate and Taywanak Choice for breakfast. Mangga plate is composed of their home-made sausage, bacon, sauteed mushroom and mashed potato. Taywanak choice on the other hand is composed of beef tapa, danggit, buco atsara and fried rice. These meals come with a cup of hot chocolate.

Sinigang Trio – it is composed of the usual sinigang vegetables topped with crispy chunks of pork and beef and some shrimps.

Dine Under the Stars 

More than its mouthwatering food, what has truly made Mon’s Restaurant remarkable for me is their ‘Dine Under the Stars’. First introduced in 2015, Mon’s Restaurant offers a whole new dining experience as it lets you enjoy their food under the stellar canopy and capiz lamps hanging on the trees. The sporadic light from these sources add up to the romantic ambiance not to mention the soft music that plays at the background. There ain’t no classic Tiffany chairs; just some cushions and a knee-high tables set up on the grass. It is made even fancy since the table has a fine dining set up coupled with few dream catchers, greeting boards with calligraphy, fairy lights and canopy depending on the package that the guest would avail. This set up is only available from 6:99 PM to 9:00 PM.

Dine Under the Stars Rates

Romantic Picnic Dinner – Php 1,500.00
Inclusive of full course meal for 2 persons, regular picnic table set up, VAT inclusive plus 10% service charge.
Surprise Date Package – Php 4,950.00
Inclusive of full course meal for 2 persons, special picnic table setup, bouquet of flowers, greeting board plus 10% service charge. This package is available for lunch and dinner date.
Overnight Stay with Dinner – Php 6,599.00
Inclusive of full course dinner, special picnic table set up, deluxe room accommodation for two at Shalom Hotel Camp Benjamin, Filipino breakfast for two the next day, use of swimming pool, experience the nature farming  in WIN farm, VAT and 10% service charge.
Dine and Sleep Under the Stars – Php 6,830.00
Inclusive of full course dinner, breakfast for two the next day, use of swimming pool, luxury tent accommodation (glamping type), experience the nature farming in WIN Farm and VAT inclusive and 10% service charge.

Catering Packages

Mon’s Restaurant also offers catering services for weddings, debuts, parties, anniversary, corporate events, etc. The packages are inclusive of standard venue set up, tables and chairs, elegant buffet table set up, menu labels at the buffet table, beverage station, well trained waiters in uniform and complementary food tasting for 2 persons.  The following are their packages:
>Standard Package
One appetizer, one soup, one salad, one vegetable, one fish, one dessert, one meat [choice of chicken or pork], one serving of house blend iced tea.
>Special Package
One appetizer, one soup, one salad, one pasta, one chicken, one pork, one vegetable, one fish, two dessert, one serving of house blend iced tea.
>Executive Package
one appetizer, one soup, one salad, one pasta one chicken, one pork, one beef, one fish, one vegetable, two dessert, one serving of house blend iced tea.
The prices are dependent of the number of guests, venue and location. All the rates, on the other hand, are subject to 10% service charge and 12% VAT. Additional 20% fee for outside catering.

Some treats you can buy from the restaurant

Apart from the dining experience that you can have from the restaurant, you can also try buying some of their local products including tablea (cocoa), peanut butter, muscavado (sugar), atsara, nuts, honey bee, coffee and more.

How to get there

Mon’s Restaurant is located inside Camp Benjamin, Alfonso-Maragondon Road, Barangay Taywanak – Ilaya, Alfonso, Cavite, 4123 Philippines.
OPTION A: From Pasay or Buendia
Take a bus bound for Nasugbu, Calatagan, Lian. Alight at Alfonso crossing. Take a jeep bound for Alfonso proper. Then, take a tricycle parked near the Town Plaza to Camp Benjamin.
OPTION B: Along Pasay Rotunda,
Hail a bus bound for Alfonso. Alight at town proper. Take a tricycle parked near the Town Plaza to Camp Benjamin (this costs Php 30.00 per way).
