A Trip Down to Isabela Province’s Memory Lane: The Ilagan Japanese War Tunnel
The elders of the Philippine race have grimly chronicled their long and rumbling narratives about their experiences under the Japanese Occupation. A lot had suffered, and worst, died in the ways we could not imagine. But then, as centuries passed, wounds of the victims of the conflict between the two were healed, particularly that of the latter generations’. Filipinos have embraced their enthralling culture, the language, food and values to the point of dreaming a vacation in the dubbed as ‘Land of the Rising Sun’ of Asia. Its attractions will sweep you off your feet and make your hearts skip a beat for it is a home of various astounding must-see spots not to mention the renowned fine white sand beach of Boracay. Just this year, I was able to see some and I’d say I’ll be back for more. Backpacking wasn’t the original plan at all. Initially, we were only supposed to visit Boracay. What Traveling Has Taught Me
There’s so much to love about going to places – the food, people, culture and the place itself. But, what made me keep on going from a place to another, apart from the ones aforementioned, are the essential things that I’ve collected from it. I am not talking about those souvenirs, sea shells, sands or stones that I get from a place that I’ve recently been to but ‘these’ ideas. Ideas that change your perspective every now and then that you gain one and are essential enough you carry them around with you, anywhere and all the time knowing each by heart. What are those ideas, or rather learnings that…

La Union Travel Guide for Non-Surfers
My non-ending bucket list is nothing but a manifestation of how an adrenaline junkie I am. Included in it is, of course, surfing. Just this July, I was able to finally check it off my list when I hit the road to the North – in San Juan, La Union, and experienced and visited more. La Union is one of the well-known surfing capital of the Philippines with others being Baler in Aurora, Siargao and some newly introduced surfing points in Real, Quezon and Zambales and others perhaps still remaining unexplored. If you are into surfing and long drives (no booking and plane tickets involved) and food trip, Urbiztondo, San…

Monaliza Surf Resort, San Juan, La Union Review
Monaliza Surf Resort is only just one of the resorts one can check into should someone pay a visit in one of the most famous surfing capital of the Philippines – San Juan, La Union. They have varieties of room and accommodation to offer but what I loved about it are rooms in the nipa hut. Actually there are only two of it. They are these old-fashioned rooms with wooden walls and floors, with capiz on its windows and nipa for its roof. Don’t underestimate these materials, though; as I’ve proven them sturdy because I was there when it stood still against the strong winds, heavy rains and big waves…
