Tanaw sa Anilao: A Native Filipino Beach House in Mabini, Batangas
I’ve always wanted to take my family into my “playground“. They have seen a lot of it on my photos, even heard from my stories but never have I had a chance to take them with me especially now during the pandemic. When we all got vaccinated, I had a little courage to take them with me. Part of me was still scared; so I looked for a private beach house where we could have the place all to ourselves. When we finally had a chance to go out again, we took that much needed getaway and stayed at Tanaw sa Anilao in Mabini, Batangas. Arriving at Tanaw sa Anilao…

Balai Lawom: New Freedivers’ Chill Hub in Mabini, Batangas
Few months ago, we saw this hostel in Mabini being built. From a distance, it looked like the ones in Siargao or La Union with its Nipa roofing and hanging bamboo light fixtures. Its roof is the only thing we could see making us even more curious about what’s inside. Since we’ve been visiting Batangas for several months now, hopping from one budget-friendly resorts or hostels to another, we thought of giving this place a shot soon as it opens. After several weeks of looking forward to it, we finally had a chance to try it. I must say, the decision of staying in this place called Balai Lawom is…

Nordic Homes Resort: A New Instagram-worthy AirBnB near Tagaytay City
The rainy season wouldn’t stop my family from going elsewhere. Since we got used to spending the special days somewhere regardless of the weather, we then looked for the best place other than home to celebrate despite the downpour. Staycation is our thing for such season. So, we checked out the ones that we’ve tried in Tagaytay City. Just when we’re about to book the one where we stayed in before, we found out that they just recently opened a new place: The Nordic Homes Resort. In no time, we booked one of its tiny houses. The Nordic Homes We have known the Nordic Homes as those Instagram-worthy AirBnBs especially…

Domelis Camping Site: A Haven for Campers in Cavinti, Laguna
Ever since traveling has been allowed in pandemic, camping has become among the travel enthusiasts’ top favorite outdoor activities. Not only that it has been in the list of top favorites but it’s also among the safest travel-related activities to try since camping sites are characterized by wide and open spaces. Further, it’s not only good for distancing from people to avoid contracting the virus but also a way to distance yourself from the stress brought by your hectic routine and schedule. Since I’ve also loved camping due to its positive impacts on me, we’d usually go trying and hopping from one campsite to another almost every week. One of…

Purple 7 Cafe: A BTS-themed Cafe in Quezon City
It’s been a year since we started fangirling over Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS. My friends and I have been crazy about them that when we heard about Purple 7 Cafe opening, we planned a date in there as soon as we have time to do so. After months of planning and waiting, we finally had a time just this July. Since we’re all coming from the south, we decided to make the most out of our trip to the Metro by visiting the BTS MOTS Pop Up Store in SM Megamall and this BTS-themed Cafe in Quezon City. About Purple 7 Cafe Purple 7 Cafe is a fan-owned BTS-themed Café…

Bubblemaker Dive and Beach Resort: A Water Fun Hub in Mabini, Batangas
The morning sun started to lazily crawl out from a slumber; so did I. In no time, I found myself propped on a mat, gazing upon the calm ocean before me. Today I decided to be one with the ocean – both in mind and body. Starting from a deep breath and a forward fold, my body flowed from a pose to another, in every beat of a faint swash from the ocean below. All the other thoughts ebbed away only leaving the flow in my mind. It is deep, it is weightless, it is free. Indeed, there are just same things under the same sky that feel different when…

DIY Intramuros Tour with Bambike 2023
I have tried exploring Intramuros before through a DIY Walking Tour. I have always loved the feeling of walking down the streets of it: wondering how does it look like before or how does it feel like to be living during those times. It was fun and fulfilling as I truly learned a lot about the history of the Philippines. However, it was quite exhausting. When we came back, we decided to rent a Bambike – the greenest way to go on a DIY Intramuros tour! About Bambike Bambikes are handcrafted bicycles out of bamboo by Bambuilders, a group of skilled people from a Non-Government Organization called Gawad Kalinga. Bambike, at…

Gintong Bukid Farm & Leisure: A Hidden Gem of Nagcarlan
The last destination on our Organic Farm trip with the ATI Calabarzon that day was Gintong Bukid Farm & Leisure in Nagcarlan, Laguna. Our walk from the parking area to the farm piqued our curiosity. The previous organic farms that we visited have unique characteristics so we were thinking, “What would this organic farm be known for?” We came late in the afternoon on a gloomy day but we felt warm and welcomed as its staff came to us. The place itself was welcoming, too. It is peaceful and bursting in evergreen with a proud and surprisingly elegant bahay kubo standing in the middle. Indeed, a visit in the place…
